Tri-Acetate CTA

INTRODUCTION TO TRIACETATE

Originating from wood pulp, Tri-acetate CTA, like Acetate CA, is related to the viscose family. However, it differs from the viscose family by consisting out of a mixture of cellulose and acetic acid.

Tri-acetate is resistant to wrinkles and shrinkage. It is easily washable and absorbs humidity not too well. Also, tri-acetate has a good drape, is shiny and soft. Tri-acetate is thus often used in garments such as skirts or dresses. Also, it has a better heat resistance than acetate.
