INTRODUCTION TO TITANIUM
Titanium Ti is a chemical element with atomic number 22. Titanium is very well known for its corrosion resistance as well as strength-to-density ratio (the highest of any metallic element).
Thanks to many excellent properties of Titanium (non-toxicity, does not denature proteins, corrosion-resistance), Titanium is considered biocompatible and thus very popular in terms of medical implants. Accordingly, Titanium is to be found in pacemakers, false eye impalnts, hearings aids as well as bone replacements.
