Cupro, also called copper silk, ammonia silk or cuprammonium rayon, is a viscose type material. Different than normal viscose rayon, cupro gets spun out in a copper bath. From a chemical point of view, Cupro is closely related to Modal or Lyocell.

Cupro is very fine, thus feels like s soft silk. Furthermore, Cupro is breathable and hygroscopic. In comparison with viscose rayon, cupro has a higher tenacity when wet.
