Medium density polyethylene MDPE is sometimes also referred to as medium molecular weight polyethylene (MMWPE).
 

MDPE is less dense than HDPE as well as less notch sensitive than HDPE. In terms of yarn and fibers, it often its applied thanks to its cooling property, which is inbetween the cooling properties of UHMWPE and cotton.
