Pontella 4002®
PES filament yarn
with spun characteristics
For many years Setila® has been
successfully selling the PONTELLA® yarns in France and a few other West
European countries. Main application always was woven fabrics for end uses such as
workwear, corporate wear, cleanroom wear, uniforms, sportswear etc.There are textile
fields where traditional PONTELLA® did not have this success for technical or
for pricing reasons. Setila® has now developed a new 100% polyester yarn
(dtex 167 f 66 x 1 and 167 f 66 x 2) with a very particular cross-section. This yarn is
texturized on special machines using a special method developed by Setila.
The temporary name for this new product is "Pontella 4002®". This
yarn has been developed especially for circular knitting. It gives a particular touch,
imitating natural fiber (cotton) and still maintaining all the advantages of a polyester
filament yarn.
Pontella 4002® has been presented in France, Italy and Germany and the
knitters are very satisfied.
Presentation of the yarn is on cylinders of abt. 4,3 kgs with max outer diameter of 240
