Hazardous accidents may occur in any production site. Electro static charge build-up is one of such causes of hazardous accidents in many industries. For example: explosion ignited by discharge, deteriorated productivity, inferior quality by malfunctioning of system, contamination and etc. |
Kuraray developed Clacarbo, an electro-conductive fiber containing carbon, just when static electricity had been acknowledged hazardous problems to various industries. It is basically polyester filament having a special structure containing electro-conductive carbon. This anti-static material with suitable structure and function conforms to the static electricity safety guide of the Ministry of Labor: RIIS-TR-78-1.
Application field: petroleum refining , oil tankers, gas stations, thermal power plant, manufacturing sites of solvent, painting, coal mining industry, semi-conductor, etc.
How static elimination can be made
Static charge generated on a garment can be eliminated by corona discharge through Clacarbo. This function is hardly influenced by the material of underwear worn. |

Because static charge elimination proceeds by corona discharge, the anti-static function can be maintained unaffected even under low humidity environment in which more static charge accumulation is generated. |

Genesta has property of lower crystal elasticity and lower glass transform point than polyester or nylon.
Which offers a material yarn to make the higher thermal durability and soft texture in finished fabric. Moist ratio with 1.76 which offers easiness of dyeing and finishing and stable in the use.
